In a wonderful turn of events and just when I thought everything was falling apart, God answered my prayer for help. After my last friend moved out who was helping me with my mortgage and groceries in exchange for a place to stay I remember praying and saying "I wish I knew another single girl who I could trust that needed a place to live!!" Within a month my old roommate from Johnson State College was found on myspace by me and she was moving back to Vermont from California with no particular place to live! Everything worked out great and she is a blessing to have in my home in many ways. We haven't changed a bit when we are together it is just like old times (sans the, er, partying!) and I am looking forward to the summer.
It really does work when you pray. You just have to be patient!! I was trying a new kind of prayer where instead of trying to picture God when I pray and finding nothingness, I imagine my soul sending out a message to all the other souls and that it seeks out the receptiveness of the soul that can answer my prayer. I am sure that sounds crazy and "new agey" like my Mom would probably say but everytime I do it that way it works! I picture the soul as a never ending wisp of smoke or steam surrounding us, constantly undulating around our bodies, reaching up and pooling with all the souls of those alive. I wish I could paint it (maybe I will) but I don't know if I'm quite THAT talented!! If I ever do I'll have to take a picture of it and post it on here.
